    How to:

The idea of the Whiskey Bar is to source different whiskies from different regions and countries around the world. Know and understand the difference between your single malts and your blends and offer a variety of both. Nick’s Wine Merchants are a fabulous source for those hard to find whiskies.

A fun idea is to make cards naming each whiskey and giving some details on the country and region it comes from and perhaps including some tasting notes.

Some essential items for your bar would include:-

    • A large wooden table
    • Decanters – if you use decanters, make sure you include a label indicating the type of whiskey
    • Cigars – ensure this can be setup somewhere where you are able to partake in smoking
    • Tongs and Ice-Bucket – for the non-purists who like their whiskey on the rocks
    • A sign for your bar – the options are endless from chalkboards to prints or bunting.
